Lieber Herr Schlegel,
Thank you so much sending me your book! I received it a couple of days ago and have already read it through. The Baden period of Zhukovsky's life was a terra
incognita before your investigation. Paul's life is also an exciting part of the story. I am planning to be in Frankfurt and Baden next year, so maybe we could meet and talk.
Nochmals vielen Dank

"Dear Mr. Schlegel,
on receiving your book ("Vasilij A. Shukovskij") I put aside all business and startet studying (yes, studying!) the text. I remember German enough to read scientific-literary works fluently. Though much has escaped from my memory without practising German.
I wondered how you were going to create your research on a poet without resorting to literary and linguostylistics analysis. But you did it, and did it brilliantly! I even mentioned this fact in my review. It will be published in the June issue of our paper.
Thanks to Alexander Noskov I learned that far away from Russia there lives a person who decided to plunge into the sphere connected with Russian culture and history. Due to this abundant information I have a feeling (an illusion) that I know you personally.
On the photo enclosed you may see the Art Director of our Cultural Centre looking for a proper place (next to Pushkin) for my review on your book on Rubinstein."
